Meet the Team
Anne was raised in southwestern Ontario, Canada. She married a Nebraska farmer in 1992 and moved to a farm in York County. Her family includes her husband, who is also her best friend, and two daughters and a son. They currently live in Lincoln, although they yearn to be in the country.
Anne enjoys reading several different genres, but especially historical fiction. Gardening is one of her favorite warm weather activities and during the winter she keeps busy with quilting, knitting, or sewing.
Anne spent 25 years as a nurse before health issues ended that career. She recently finished her bachelor's in human relations.
Tawnya was raised in Benkelman, and most of her family is in Nebraska. She has a bachelor’s degree in home economics, with a major in Human Development, and a master’s degree in science, with a major in Positive Youth Development.
She enjoys sports, particularly football (“Go Big Red!”), spending time with her two nephews, going to movies, and hanging out at a coffee shop. She loves vanilla latte at Starbucks and practically anything chocolate. Her favorite book is The Kite Runner and her favorite movie is Father of the Bride, the one with Steve Martin. She has done a "fourteener" in Colorado, which means that she has hiked up and down a 14,000-foot mountain.
What motivates Tawnya? “I just love youth and learn more from them then I have taught them,” she says.
