We have a need for a part-time Licensing Specialist in the Lincoln Office to work with potential and existing foster parents in order to complete all necessary paperwork and processes to become licensed or re-licensed as foster parents through Christian Heritage. Work will average 10 hours per week after initial training.

Description
The Licensing Specialist is responsible for the licensing of new and re-licensing of existing foster families, may assist with billing for foster care services and other administrative duties. The job holder is the gatekeeper of all licensing information required by the State of Nebraska. The Licensing Specialist follows all State guidelines for families completing the required background checks, medical exams and additional information necessary. The essence of this job is the systematic collection, writing and processing of paperwork while maintaining ongoing communication with the foster families. Demonstrating good judgment concerning families becoming licensed to accept foster children is also essential. The Licensing Specialist also works closely with the Nebraska Health and Human Services office to ensure licensing compliance regarding youth placements and other pertinent issues. Job holder will maintain confidential, accurate and complete files.

Qualifications
All qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a Bachelor's degree in a Business or Human Services field. We prefer two years’ licensing and/or foster care experience. Skill in keyboarding, word processing and excel spreadsheets; Skill in troubleshooting and problem-solving; Skill in office organization and record-keeping; Skill in grammar, punctuation, writing, spelling and proofreading; Good communication skills a must. Requires sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions. The individual must have the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Computer skills required. Must have a valid driver's license, own auto liability insurance and a good driving record. Background checks, reference and education checks will be conducted. Must be spiritually mature, having demonstrated commitment to stable spiritual practices and ongoing personal development.
