Raised in Elmhurst, Illinois, Larry is and will always be a Cubs fan. He holds an MA in Counseling and is motivated by the desire to help others.
In his spare time he volunteers and coaches with Special Olympics. His favorite food is pizza and he loves to read The Chronicles of Narnia and watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Larry's favorite scripture verse is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Andi is a lifelong Lincolnite. When she is not spending time with her two kids (one of whom has special needs), volunteering at school and working on a degree with Bellevue University, she likes to read. Is it any wonder that her favorite saying is “Just keep swimming!”
Jim grew up in Oklahoma, a troubled, hurting child, and he is passionate about helping troubled families. He and his wife spent many years as missionaries in Central America before joining our staff in 2004. In addition to his work at Christian Heritage, Jim provides religious services for the jail and prisons.
He enjoys western movies, especially Paint Your Wagon, and enjoys creating handmade gifts for family and friends in his spare time. He loves to say, “If your wife don’t find you handsome she should find you handy. I bought tools.”
Rhoni was raised on a ranch near Curtis, Nebraska, 15 miles from the nearest paved road. She holds a degree in Psychology/Biblical Studies from Grace University. She loves bacon and chocolate, but not together, and her favorite saying is, “If you have to swallow a frog, don’t look at it too long. If you have to swallow two frogs, swallow the biggest one first.”
Born and raised in Omaha, Vince received his post-secondary education through “a hodge-podge of technical courses in the US Air Force, Federal Aviation Administration, and consequences from poor decisions.”
Vince’s favorite food is anything that allows him to use one of his two grills, smoker, or outdoor pizza oven. In addition to cooking with his wife, Cathy, he enjoys reading historical fiction and small home improvement projects that let him “McGuyver” stuff together in the garage. Vince and Cathy lived at the Naval base in Guantanamo Bay from 2008 to 2009, where Vince worked as a civilian contractor. Vince and Cathy are fond of border collies; Angus McFergus McTavish Dundee accompanied them to Cuba and Fiona Sophia Primavera Dundee lives with them now.
Vince is guided by a favorite saying: “Don't look around you and find what needs to be done, look around you and see what makes you come alive and do that. The world needs people who have come alive” (Howard Thurman) and the feeling of the Lord’s pleasure when he invests in someone else.
